Truth is essential in the public domain, like clean air is for breathing. When people share truthful information, society can make better decisions and work together to solve problems. However, if false information spreads, like pollution in the air, it can create confusion and even harm.

Today, some media outlets intentionally share false stories, and advanced technology like AI can create “deep fake” articles and videos. These deceptive creations can spread disinformation and cause trouble in society, just like a wildfire that destroys everything in its path.

Facts matter for a well-functioning society because they provide a reliable foundation for decision-making, problem-solving, and communication. Accurate information allows people to make informed choices, create effective policies, and collaborate on shared goals.

When we agree upon what’s true, we can still have policy disagreements but remain respectful of one another. This fosters trust among individuals and institutions, promoting accountability, responsibility, and unity. Critical thinking, intellectual growth, and social progress can flourish in a society where facts are valued and respected, leading to a more just, equitable, and prosperous society.

As responsible citizens, we must seek and share the truth to help our communities and society thrive. By promoting honesty, we can work together to make our world better for everyone.

Wishing you health, happiness, and prosperity,

Mark
